Pentax SMC-DA 50-200mm F4-5.6 ED WR Lens

Compact and lightweight, this 50-200mm telephoto zoom lens will take you closer to the action. Designed for use exclusively with PENTAX KAF DSLR cameras, the new 4X zoom lens offers telephoto range coverage. In addition, it features an angle of view of 31.5 degrees to 8.1 degrees (equivalent focal length of 76.5 mm to 306 mm in the 35 mm format). As with all DA lenses, this 50mm-200mm features the "Quick-Shift" focusing system, which allows photographers to instantly switch the focus mode from auto to manual with a slight turn of the focus ring. . Together with a simple and functional design and the elimination of an aperture ring, this new mechanism considerably improves operability. The lens also incorporates an extra-low dispersion (ED) glass element and two aspherical elements for true image reproduction. The image circle on the DA series lenses is designed to perfectly fit the 23.5mm x 15.7mm size CCD used in PENTAX digital SLR cameras to optimize camera performance. The new design also contributes to a drastic reduction in size and weight, compared to counterpart lenses in the 35mm format.
